Arrival
When you arrive, there will be ushers to
help you. They will greet you and point you in the right
direction. They will give you a bulletin with the order of the
service and information about the church and events. Church
services are at 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Easter services are 8:00,
9:30, and 11:00 a.m.
Information Booth
When you walk in the front door, you will
be in the meeting room. The information booth will be immediately
to your right after you walk in. You can ask questions and get
printed information about the church.
Order of Service
The service typically begins with about
four worship songs. Sometimes there is a drama in the schedule.
There will be announcements and a prayer. The offering is next.
Visitors are not expected to contribute. There is a Guest Input
Form in the bulletin. You may drop it in the offering or leave it
at the information booth. Next, people will have an opportunity to
greet one another. You will be 40 to 45 minutes into the service
at this point. Next is the message which lasts about 40 minutes.
The order of events in this schedule may change a little from week to
week.
Biblical, Practical, RelevantThese three words sum up the teaching at BCC. Since we believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, our teaching is
biblically-based.
But we're also committed to communicating the timeless truths of Scripture in a way
that connects to people living in the 21st Century. Our teaching regularly applies the
message of the Bible to topics like work, family, marriage, finances and friendships.
The service is usually presented in a teaching style. There is
a page in the bulletin with a message summary. There are blanks to
fill in so bring a pen along with your Bible. The main points are
presented on two screens at the front of the room.
Music
The music is chosen for its relevant
message. Some of the songs are coordinated with the message theme
each week. Our music is contemporary, using a keyboard, guitars,
and drums along with 4 or 5 vocalists. The congregation sings
along with the words displayed on the two screens up front.
