 Who We Are

One of the most common questions people are asking themselves when they consider a church is "Will I fit in?"  At BCC you'll find a variety of backgrounds and walks of life are represented. Some are native New Englanders. Others are new to the area. Some have been around church all their life. For others, BCC is their first church experience.

What draws the people of BCC together is the transforming experience of the love and acceptance of God, and the desire to share that experience with others.  We hope that no matter where you're coming from you'll experience a warm welcome—most of our guests say they do—and be encouraged to explore BCC for yourself!

Core Values

Worship should fully engage our heart, soul, mind and strength, demonstrating our love and honor for God.

The Bible, as the authoritative and inspired Word of God, is the basis for our beliefs and the foundation for structure and teaching.

Personal growth in Christ and assisting others in their growth is a normative priority of the church.

Our format, structure, teaching, and approach to ministry and communication will be designed in a manner which relates to our culture.

We believe the church functions optimally when each person has identified and utilizes his or her individual spiritual gift.

We experience relational and spiritual development through small groups and fellowships which encourage love, authenticity, accountability, and servant hood.

All people are valued by God, and therefore, ought to matter to the church.

We acknowledge God as the source of all we have and will honor him through good stewardship and accountability of His resources.

We will have a reliance on prayer in the vision, conception, planning, and execution of all the ministries and activities of this church.

Planting other churches is a natural by-product in the life of a healthy church, therefore we will encourage this result within our corporate structure.

We seek to honor God by maintaining a high standard of excellence in all our ministries and activities.

Our Mission

Helping People Move Toward Christlikeness

Just before leaving the earth, Jesus gathered his disciples and gave them this basic and direct mission, "Go and make disciples!" The church exists to make disciples, people who are becoming more and more like the one they follow.  Therefore Bedford Community Church exists for the purpose of "Helping people move toward Christlikeness."

BCC began with the desire to be true to the very reason Jesus wanted His church to exist in the first place: to make disciples, not just church attendees.

This fire drives all we do as a church. Our ministries, structures and processes are all designed to build a community  where people of any spiritual level can learn to live life as a disciple, encouraged by others committed to that same purpose.
