Getting to know us... a brief history of BCC
In the early 1990's, Lee and Shirley Galucki came to New Hampshire to
plant this future church. Over the next two years, God brought together a group who
was committed to seeing this new church into fruition. In July of 1995, Bedford
Community Church was incorporated as a non-profit organization and on October 8th of the
same year, our first public worship service was held.
We met in a converted barn for the first six months. By the
following spring, we moved our meeting location to the Sheraton Tara Wayfarer Inn in
Bedford as we continued to grow upwards to 90 people. During the summer of 1996,
Bedford Community Church received a lease with the Town of Bedford to rent its former fire
station. That lease turned into five years at the fire station as the attendance
grew toward 270 people. By the late summer of 2001, we moved to our last
temporary location at Faith Christian Center.
On Easter of 2004, we moved into our new building on Old Bedford
Road. We began with one service each Sunday. Now we have two
services, at 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.
